This 2 hr. Advanced Florida Building Code Course is required by Architects Registered in Florida.

The 2020 FL Building Code will go into effect on January 1, 2021. At that time, this course will expire. Please make sure to complete this course by 11:59 pm on December 31, 2020, to count towards the February 28, 2021 license renewal.

In this course, architects will review recent changes to the Florida Building Code – Residential – and its related Florida Building Code, Energy Conservation (Residential Provisions) – and learn how they can keep abreast of future changes. Changes are set to occur in three-year intervals, with the next change scheduled in 2020. Current changes are documented in the 6th Edition (2017) of all Florida Building Code documents. The changes in this edition are set to become effective on December 31, 2017.

It is presented in accordance with the requirements of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) for the required Advanced Florida Building Code Module.
