This course focuses on how a Team Based, collaborative Programing, Design and Construction processes delivered Green, High Performance buildings focused on providing a healthy work environment for it’s occupants. As Architects, understanding the potential team structures will be essential in facing the challenges of making the Built Environment Greener. The course presents an in-depth analysis of three unique projects that respond to an initiative sponsored by the Federal High-Performance Green Buildings Office which is part of the General Services Administration (GSA). These examples highlight project-delivery best practices that can be used to advance the industry’s development of high-performing, Green buildings. Selected by the GSA as exemplary project teams with outstanding building outcomes for the building’s occupants, these cases offer insights on a range of collaborative strategies, processes, and tools that were used to achieve aspirational high performance building goals, key to meeting occupant expectations.
