This course will review various ways small lots can be configured and how the home designs are adjusted to match the restraints of small lots. There are a few reasons that are based on location. One is the uniqueness of the place. Another location-based reason for small lot development is proximity to town. But the most basic driver for small lot developments is lowering the cost per unit. The goal of this course is to present case studies that employ various lot layout and home design options in an effort to shed light on workable approaches to designing homes for small lots.
