Due Diligence Process

This course will review the Due Diligence process, concentrating on the major elements that clients consider in determining a project’s feasibility. The goal will be to shed light on how a client makes the decision to proceed with a project, and what role the Architect will play. The course will utilize a resort condominium case study reviewing several aspects of the evaluation process including; – Parameters, defined as the facts or circumstances that restrict how the project can be developed, – Project Concept, or idea as shaped by the parameters and controlled by the numbers – Key Stakeholders, including the clients internal team, consultants, investors, lenders and regulators By providing the Architect with a better understanding of what drives their client’s GO DECISION and what can be done to better connect Design to Feasibility, the Architect will be positioned to support their client during the Due Diligence phase.
