This course will begin to explore how the Workspace is being reshaped and redefined by the emergence of a global computer network (currently in the form of the internet). During most of the 20th century, people would go to work at their office. That’s where their paper files were, where their assigned desk was, where the meetings were held, and where they got their (snail) mail. This is changing and over the last 20 years “the office” has evolved. This course will put forward the idea that the workspace will need to support the new network-centric worker that will do work from anywhere and when at the office, will work in spaces that will be configured in new ways.
